New saint , where do I start?

Im a new believe in Christ so where should I start? What do I do? 1) buy a holy bible (this is your manual) 2) start by reading Acts (the entire book from start to finish) 3) find and become a member of a good bible based church 4) the most important step which should be step 1. Begin your prayer life. Start praying to God as much as possible. Wake up and pray.Go to sleep and pray. In the middle of the day pray. Pray in your car. Start by thanking God for all of the good things in your life. Your family , your home, your income, your environment, your car, your electricity, your water, your boyfriend , girlfriend or husband. Be thankful that you are alive- really feel the gratitude of how blessed you are even if everything in your life isn’t perfect. This is where you start.

Waiting on the Lord

There are several scriptures that refer to waiting on the Lord. We have touched this topic previously with a few tips. Maybe the verses should say wait “patiently” on the Lord. But would that change the urgency that gets built up inside of us when we are waiting on the Lord to act on our behalf? Surely not. What does calm the fear? What does make the mind patient? I’ve found that beginning your morning with prayer, before you even step out of bed.Honoring God and radiating in his presence makes the whole day more tranquil. This practice has given me the ability to move forward when I’m aeakting his action. Try this everyday for a month, make it a habit. You are sure to feel the results of casting your burdens to God every day and or just radiating in his presence.

Seek Knowledge?

So many people are reading books. I believe it is finally in style to be a knowledge seeker. In all sorts of religious organizations we are being told to learn the word and to read the word. Connection with God > learning about God Let’s use an example. If your parents are her on earth with you would you go off into your room and read an autobiography about their lives  ? Or would you spend as much time as possible with them to ask questions and gain understanding about their lives? I know which one I choose. The Bible says that God rewards those who diligently seek him. But how do we seek him? Through prayer and time focused on God. God loves  us and we love him , take some time to get to know him. This is not me saying not to read your Bible, the Bible has great teachings for us to comprehend. This is a reminder that nothing is as important as our relationship with God. We can cut out the middle man and have a relationship with him, every day, every hour.

Prayer and Supplication

what is the difference between prayer and supplication ? Supplication is when you beg for yourself on your behalf. Prayer can be when you make requests for other people. Are you praying ? Or are you begging? Make sure when you are asking God for things that you are also taking care of your neighbor, your community, your friends , not only your family but your family’s family. We are here to do Gods work, are you only working for yourself? Message.

Consistency in your relationship with God

God doesn’t leave us. God doesn’t forget about us. He makes sure at each phase in our life we are equipped. “He rewards those that diligently seek him” . That is why you see some people really blessed.Although he doesn’t leave you. Are you seeking him? Do you read the word? Do you pray or communicate with God often and not only when you’re in trouble? The times of trouble is when almost everyone seems God’s Shelter but what would happen if you stayed under his light and protection ? Matthew 6:33 33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Fear

Is it just me or when you start praying more the devil creeps in and causes you to fear the future ? Causes you to fear life etc? The mind is a tricky thing. As long as I was living in sin and happy with it, I was full of life. The moment I transitioned to being mindful and doing the right thing I started to be scared of ridiculous everyday things. I’ve found how to combat fear as a believer in God, I am hoping this information helps someone else. I would go on to tell you several verses that show you that fear is not of God. But that literally didn’t help me. I would read those scriptures and still be full of fear. What did help? Complete and total surrender to Gods will. I cried real tears , released the stress from my body and asked God to come into my life and my situation. God please make me whole again. Wrap me in your protection and order my steps. There is a serenity that comes from  being under Gods protection. Under his wings, you feel it see it and can experi...

Be Still

Be still and know that I am God. What exactly does that mean ? Be still: Don’t try to fix it, don’t try to rush it. Don’t keep entwining yourself in the problem.Wait on the Lord. And Know that I am God: hmmmm what does this part mean? Is there a more powerful noun on the planet ? God is the power. The Power. Noting exists that isn’t powered by God. No trees , no fruit, no human could have life or breath, no wind would blow, no electricity would soark. So I ask again is there any thing or anyone or any situation that can resist Gods power. Know that I AM GOD- means it is fixed. It is already taken care of in Gods perfect timing. So wait on the Lord. Psalm 46/10

Let Go and Let God

Let go and let God We have all heard that but what does it mean? Or better yet how do we accomplish it? Letting Go is a way to get out of your own way. We get on our knees all of the time and pray to God about our needs wants and desires. And then we get in his way of helping us accomplish what we are asking for. As an example we ask God to provide food for our family but before he can send us a bonus at work we go and demand a raise from our boss. Which creates tension at work and then subsequently that job is lost. But what would happen if we actually waited on the Lord? ..... Letting go is a form of belief. Using another example. When you or your spouse becomes pregnant , do you go to the doctor every day and say is the baby still breathing ? Can you take the bun out of the over now ? No. We don’t do that.We believe that tbe baby will be breathing and moving and will have a smooth birth in a few months. We don’t continually ask them to take the baby out and make sure God hasn’t ...
